Dr. Theresa Batac


Dr. Theresa Batac is a native of Chesapeake, Virginia. She received her doctorate from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 1990, with Honors in Primary care, Pediatrics, and Low Vision. Prior to that, she graduated with a B.S. in Biochemistry from ODU and a B.S. in Physiological Optics, PCO.

Dr. Batac is a past-president of the Tidewater Optometric Society and maintains memberships in many professional organizations including the Virginia Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.

She is a consultant for the VA Department for the Visually Handicapped and is fully certified by the ABO, NBEO, and Virginia Board of Optometry to diagnostically and therapeutically prescribe medications for diseases of the eye. She has had more than 25 years of experience seeing patients in Virginia Beach, Chesapeake, and Norfolk. Dr. Batac is pleased to welcome previous and new patients to her new practice location in Norfolk.


At this time, we are operating under normal office hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and seeing patients for routine eye exams as well as urgent/emergency eye care.

We are following all CDC guidelines in the office and ask our patients to follow coronavirus protocol as well. If you have or have had any symptoms of the coronavirus in the past 14 days, we kindly ask that you do not visit the office for an appointment, product pickup or repairs and adjustments of your eyewear.
