Dr. John Dragon

Dr. John Dragon was born in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania. In 1984 he graduated from Susquehanna University with a degree in Biology. Dr. Dragon received his doctorate in 1988 from Pennsylvania College of Optometry, Philadelphia.

Shortly after receiving his doctorate, Dr. Dragon served in the Medical Service Corps as a Navy Optometrist stationed at Sewells Point Clinic and Boone Clinic at Little Creek Amphibious Base. After fulfilling his commitment to the Navy, Dr. Dragon became an associate at the practice in 1999. In January 2003, Dr. Dragon became a partner in the practice.

Dr. Dragon maintains membership in many professional organizations including the Virginia Optometric Association and the American Optometric Association.  He is board certified by the Board of Optometry to use diagnostic drugs and by the Board of Medicine to treat and prescribe medication for external diseases of the eye.

At this time, we are operating under normal office hours, Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and seeing patients for routine eye exams as well as urgent/emergency eye care.

We are following all CDC guidelines in the office and ask our patients to follow coronavirus protocol as well. If you have or have had any symptoms of the coronavirus in the past 14 days, we kindly ask that you do not visit the office for an appointment, product pickup or repairs and adjustments of your eyewear.
